What Is a High Voltage Converter?

- AC/DC High Voltage Converters

The diodes are generally arranged in a diamond-like arrangement of four. The switching nature of MOSFETs is used to convert AC current to DC current. When the AC current passes through the diamond-shaped group of diodes, the current in the positive direction passes through as it is, and the current in the negative direction passes through with the sign switched to the positive direction. In this way, AC current is converted to DC current. - DC/DC High Voltage Converters
A DC/DC high voltage converter may have a resistor connected to the converter, a transistor, or a transformer. With resistors, the resistors are placed on the circuit to cause a voltage drop, thereby reducing the voltage. With a transistor, switching reduces the total voltage by transmitting the current like a pulse wave. A transformer causes a voltage drop according to the number of coil turns. It is also possible to increase the voltage according to the number of coil turns.
