A one touch joint is a joint component that can be connected and fixed simply by inserting a tube into a socket.
The connection part can be easily removed by simply pulling the sleeve of the socket. There are various types of one-touch joints, including unions for connecting tubes, straight joints that can be screwed onto piping with a male thread on one side, and female straight joints with a female thread on the other side.
The material of the threaded part can be selected according to the Uses of the joint, and joints that can be used in clean environments and joints to prevent static electricity are also available.
One touch joints are used to join tubes together to secure a flow path when connecting pneumatic piping.
In many pipe connection applications, there may not be enough room for tools, but one touch joints can be used in even the tightest of spaces.
In industrial fields such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and petrochemicals, there are situations where static electricity on the joint body is desired, or where spatter or corrosion resistance is required.
In conventional piping connection work, sleeve nut type joints are used to connect tubes. With the sleeve-nut type joint, a tube can be connected by fitting a sleeve to the main body and fastening it with a nut.
While a wrench or other tool is required to fasten a nut to the sleeve, one touch joints can be easily fastened by simply inserting the tube into the socket. When removing the tube, simply pull it out while pushing on the sleeve.
In addition to the simplicity of tube connection, obstacles such as steps in the flow path generally impede the flow, resulting in a drop in the pressure of the fluid (pressure loss). In one touch joints, the smallest diameter inside the joint is the same as the inner diameter of the tube. Features of this joint are that the passage of fluid is not narrowed in the middle of the joint, and the pressure loss can be kept small.
