Spray adhesive is a generic term for a spray type adhesive that is widely used as an adhesive for crafts. 3M products, which have a large market share, are sold in four color-coded cans: spray adhesive 55, spray adhesive 77, spray adhesive 99, and spray adhesive 111, depending on adhesive performance.
Each type is soluble in isohexane acetone or toluene as a single or composite material, and depending on the viscosity of adhesion, Spray adhesive can be used for different purposes, from attaching and removing photos from photo albums to applying adhesive to building interiors and car interiors.
Spray adhesive with the weakest adhesive strength (80 m/N level) is suitable for materials that can be peeled off after use, such as posters at events, printing materials, and photographs attached to documents.
Low-to-medium viscosity spray adhesives are suitable for POP and architectural model making, while medium levels are suitable for bonding foam materials, fabrics, and metals, and can be used for wallpaper and do-it-yourself projects.
Spray adhesive of the upper strength level can be used to adhere heat insulating materials, sound insulation materials, and glass wool.
Spray adhesive with a viscosity of 80 kN/m is a stronger adhesive than sticky notes used for documents, and its main ingredients are isohexane and acetone. Its loose viscosity allows for several peel-offs without damaging the material to which it is attached.
Spray adhesive (1.8 kN/m) is made by mixing acetone, isohexane, cyclohexane, and other soluble rubbers uniformly with the base material and spraying it in a fine granular form. This glue is suitable for relatively light adhesion of thin veneers such as decorative laminates and styrofoam such as models. Its heat resistance is about 140°F, which is about the adhesive level of a coaster made by joining cork and board.
Products with higher adhesive strength, such as those mixed with normal pentane, are suitable for bonding leather products, pasting felt carpets, and bonding plastic materials.
Spray adhesive (reference: 3 kN/m), which has the highest adhesive strength, can be used for bonding light metals for car interiors, as well as for bonding canvas for curtains and reinforced vinyl for covering crops, etc.
It is characterized by its slightly higher durability. The heat resistance temperature is about 260 degrees Fahrenheit, and the compounding with rubber material that does not melt even at high temperatures has been devised.
